I tried validating my game files for Skyrim on the steam client but that didn't work either. I tried emptying the save folder and starting a fresh one, but that didn't seem to work. Some things I noticed was that my 'saved' files would show up in the saves folder in my Skyrim saves directory but they would not show up in the game.
